Adekemi Taofeek, a well-known Yoruba actress, has talked about one of the incidents that caused her to quit creating movies. She also discussed how a director treated her disrespectfully when he invited her to a cinema.

In a video that was posted on the official YouTube channel of Kunleafod TV during an interview, she made it known that she stopped film making when a movie director told her that she was no longer relevant after she got married and gave birth to her child.

In her statement, she said, “I was invited to a movie location by a movie director, and when I got there, so many things happened that I felt so disrespected. When I got there, the movie director started saying that he wanted another actress over me simply because I got married and gave birth, and I took a break for 2 years.

I stayed in the hotel till 3 a.m., but I wasn’t allowed to partake in any movie, and I brought my child to the hotel as well. I used to call the same movie director for jobs, and I felt so bad because I was asked to check out from the hostel on the following day. I stopped acting movies when a movie director said I’m no longer relevant in movies.”
