Actor Odunlade Adekola’s brother, popular Yoruba movie star and preacher Oyekanmi Adekola, has revealed how he would react if his wife decided to pursue a career in acting.
In a recent interview shared on the official YouTube channel of Mtec TV, Oyekanmi explained that despite being a pastor, he would fully support his wife’s decision to become an actress.
He added that he would even allow her to kiss other actors if the role required it, emphasizing his understanding of the demands of the profession.
In his statement, he said, “If my wife decides to become an actress I will welcome her and we will do it together. I’m a pastor but I will support my wife to be an actress, and I will permit her to kiss actors. Our film making job has level, people may notice that I always act as pastor in most of the movies that I featured in and that’s because that they know I’m a pastor in real life and it will be easy for me to play the pastor’s role conveniently. My wife and I have almost the same lifestyle, and because of her lifestyle I believe that actors wouldn’t want to give her movie roles that will go against her character.”
