Popular Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa, has revealed that she’s open to becoming a second, third, fourth, or even fifth wife if the opportunity presents itself.
The brand influencer made the bold statement during a recent episode of her podcast, Toke Moments, sparking widespread reactions across social media.
Toke also shared her thoughts on marriage and divorce, admitting that if she had remarried after her first marriage ended, she probably would have ended up divorced again.
She said, “At this point in my life, if I have the opportunity to marry again, as a second, third, fourth or fifth wife, I will take it,”
The comment comes on the heels of her reflections about her past marriage to Maje Ayida, which ended in 2017 following allegations of infidelity.
In an earlier podcast, the media personality revealed how she teared up whenever she think about her childlessness at the age of 40.
She said, “I am 40, I am single, and I am childless. I said it, and I didn’t die, which always made me tear up,” adding, “I look at my life like I am 40 and a boss, have built an empire, am one of the most resounding voices in Africa.”
