Pppular Yoruba movie actor, Ayo Olaiya recently opened out about how he feels about the public’s criticism of one of his performances.

In an interview on Babaibe TV’s official YouTube channel, the actor talked candidly about the incident and how some viewers claimed that his performance encouraged bad behavior.

“I was sad when some people said I’m teaching people bad things due to what I did in a movie,” Olaiya revealed.

His statement highlights the challenge many actors face when audiences blur the lines between fiction and reality. Despite the backlash, he noticed an interesting contradiction—those who criticized his role were also the ones most engaged with the movie.

“I discovered that those who complained about the role I played in the movie were the ones who watched the movie the most,” he said.

This observation reflects the complex relationship between actors and their audiences, where criticism and fascination often go hand in hand.

However, Olaiya’s experience abroad offered a different perspective. While he faced scrutiny in Nigeria, his reception in the UK was far more positive.

“I was surprised to see how I was welcomed, and I received gifts from some of my fans who loved the movie,” he shared.
