Veteran Nigerian journalist Kemi Olunloyo has stirred controversy with her recent Instagram post, where she criticized Davido and revealed the alleged cost of the singer’s engagement ring to his fiancée, Chioma.
This revelation comes amid growing excitement for the celebrity couple’s upcoming wedding, set to take place at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos later this month.
Kemi Olunloyo, known for her outspoken nature, took to social media to claim that Chioma’s engagement ring allegedly costs N1.3 billion.
However, the journalist didn’t stop at the valuation. She also sarcastically referred to the couple as “CHIVIDO” and criticized their choice of venue as “cheap.”
According to her, the location the couple intended to use didn’t match the grandeur expected for such a high-profile pair.
She went on to berate Davido, labeling him “003” to suggest that he comes after other popular Nigerian artists Wizkid (“001”) and Burna Boy (“002”) in terms of relevance or achievement in the music industry.
