In a public statement, Helen claimed that Burna Boy provided Lucky Udu and Abu Salami with ₦30 million to support her and her child.
However, she alleged that she received nothing from the funds except $350 from Salami for her visa and a ticket to Nigeria, adding that he also made sexual advances toward her.
In her words:
“I want to clear the air. Lucky and Abu Salami forced me to say Burna Boy helped me, yet Burna Boy gave them ₦30 million. Lucky Udu told me when I reach Nigeria, I should stay in his house because he likes me. He also said he wanted money from me after all of this is done, claiming my baby daddy’s brother gave him ₦2 million. He even sent me a screenshot of the $30,000 Burna Boy gave him Nigerians, I need your help—I have not received any money given to Lucky Udu and Abu Salami.”
Helen further alleged that Lucky Udu made advances toward her, suggesting she stay at his house upon her arrival in Nigeria. She also accused him of pressuring her to publicly credit Burna Boy for assistance she never received.
