A fan of gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, identified as Assam Unwana on Facebook, has expressed concern about her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa.
Assam was surprised by the way Pastor Blessed and singer Banky W, who served as his best man, greeted each other at the wedding.
He accused them of exchanging a handshake that resembled a cult gesture, questioning why such a greeting was done publicly on Pastor Blessed’s special day.
He suggested that Mercy Chinwo’s husband might be involved in a fraternity and questioned his credibility as a pastor.
According to him: “Haven’t we seen, heard, or known of many pastors in Nigeria, Akwa Ibom state being devoted members of secret cults who still “Claw/anchor” themselves in events?”
He also noted that being a pastor is not a great deal today: “Anyone can become a pastor, and some already have, including cultists, assassins, kidnappers, drug lords, criminals, Yahoo boys, politicians, witches, native doctors, and pagans.”
