Popular Nigerian social media activist, Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman (VDM), has taken the internet by storm as he arrived at the National Assembly Complex with his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju for the joint investigation over the allegation against Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
It all started when Verydarkman shared a voice recording exposing some dark secrets pointing at the rate of corruption system in Nigeria. It appeared that Bobrisky, who was expected to serve six months in Kirikiri prison, was secluded in a great apartment close to the prison after paying some prison officials.
In the voice recording, the crossdresser allegedly bribed some EFCC officers with N15 million to drop some money laundering charges against him. This audio leak captured the attention of many online including the minister of Interior Affairs, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, leading to re-investigation over the allegations as mentioned in the recording.
Two prison officials were suspended till further notice. Verydarkman and Bobrisky were also invited to assist in the investigation.
On Thursday, September 26, the House of Representatives decided to investigate bribery accusations made by VeryDarkMan against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Nigerian Correctional Service.
A video making the rounds online captured the moment Verydarkman stole the spotlight at the National Assembly Abuja with his arrival. VDM, dressed in his Edo white traditional attire, arrived at the venue with a man, who appeared to be his herbalist (locally known as Babalawo).
The man was seen with a bell and oil. In the video, he poured oil in his mouth and splashed it on Verydarkman’s hands. He also rang the bell continuously while Verydarkman walked into the assembly with Deji Adeyanju

Video showed the moment Verydarkman addressed the House of representative members as he cited the absence of Bobrisky in their midst. Verydarkman stated that he won’t say anything until the crossdresser show up.
In his words, “I will not say anything until Bobrisky and EFCC chairman are present. If I say anything, let me die”.
Another video captured when the activist finally addressed the representatives panels and he explained how he got the voice recording and he stated that the recording is not AI-generated.
