Fresh concerns have arisen as Abosede Aloba, mother of the late singer Mohbad, raises alarm over the alleged abduction of her younger son, Adura.
Eyewitnesses claim Adura was taken by unidentified armed men, suspected to be police officers, shortly after leaving the Magistrates’ Court in Ogba, Lagos, on Wednesday afternoon.
Reports indicate that Adura had appeared in court over a legal dispute involving a phone he sold to Damola Ayinde, a case that escalated into legal action against actor Yomi Fabiyi, Damola Ayinde, and others. However, what seemed like a routine legal matter took an unexpected and troubling turn.
In a viral video, Mohbad’s mother, Abosede Aloba, was seen weeping bitterly inside a vehicle, her voice heavy with pain as she lamented her son’s sudden disappearance.
Speaking in Yoruba, she pleaded for help, claiming that armed individuals had forcefully taken Adura, leaving her in distress and uncertainty about his whereabouts.
Abosede accused Yomi Fabiyi and Sam Jojo of orchestrating the abduction, alleging that Adura was taken despite being in an unwell state.
She cried out, “Please help me, people of God! It’s Yomi Fabiyi. They’ve taken my son, and I don’t know where they’re taking him.
“It’s Yomi Fabiyi and Sam Jojo who took him. My son did nothing to them. Dear Nigerians, please stand by me.
“They must not lay a hand on my son. They must not beat him — he is sick
“The real culprit has already confessed and admitted to doing it. They’ve been begging me since this morning, even his lawyer pleaded with me. But I told them the matter is already in court — there’s nothing I can do
“Demola, you’ve put me in trouble. Mohbad’s spirit will fight you.”
