Yoruba Nollywood star Owolabi Ajasa has rebuke the Claims that veteran actor and filmmaker Ahmed Alasari was poisoned.
The late actor passed away in a car accident while traveling to Lagos to deliver a master copy of his film to a marketer to run an ad, Ajasa explained in a recent interview with FeelRightNews TV.
According to Ajasa, Alasari had informed him of his travel plans on that fateful Sunday morning. The late actor was determined to complete his business trip, but unfortunately, he was involved in a fatal accident.
Ajasa further explained that he was at home when the incident happened. He revealed that he usually accompanied Alasari on his travels, joining him 95% of the time.
However, on that particular day, he had other commitments at home, which made him stay back.
He recalled how Alasari had reassured him that there was no need to travel together that day, as there was something important he needed to do for him at home. Unfortunately, just hours later, he received the devastating news of the accident.
In his words: “I remember it was on a Sunday morning. Alasari told me that he wanted to travel to Lagos from Abeokuta to submit a master copy of a movie to a marketer and also run an advertisement. That’s when he had an accident. So, Alasari wasn’t poisoned—he died in an accident while trying to submit a master copy of his movie. I didn’t even know he was dead until we got to the hospital.”
