A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to express her frustration after she was allegedly sent out of a church service by an usher due to her choice of outfit.
The young woman narrated how she was humiliated in front of the congregation and denied entry into the church as she shared a video showing her outfit she wore to the church.
She was seen wearing a stylish two-piece outfit that exposed her thighs, explaining that this was the outfit she had worn to the church service.
She captioned the footage, “POV: Posting this because an usher sent me out of church because of my outfit.”
The video has since sparked mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media.
While some people agreed with the usher’s action, arguing that decency in dressing should be upheld in places of worship, others criticized the church for being judgmental instead of welcoming people regardless of their appearance. Some reactions are shown below:
