Nigerians have started expressing their utmost displeasure and weeping profusely following the latest development showcasing that the Tinubu administration imprisoned over 20 malnourished kids in court for joining hunger protests.

Recall that the hunger and the End Bad Governance protest was held in August, however, the federal government arrested over 20 kids for flaunting the Russian flag during the protest stressing that the children wanted to overthrow the Tinubu government.

This development did not sit well with activist VeryDarkMan who took to his verified Instagram page to write to President Tinubu to temper justice  with mercy stressing that these over 20 kids from Kano imprisoned in Abuja are malnourished and needed to go to school.

He said; “I am currently at the federal high court as we speak witness the craziest thing ever @officialasiwajubat how will your government charge kids with treason like wtf is going on,i woke up this morning in my cell room and when i stepped out to pee I noticed I was locked up with more than 20 kids who are all under 15 years old to make matters worst they have been in detention for 93 days, this is not fair on all levels @officialasiwajubat please temper justice with mercy and let these kids go home, their mothers are outside the court house crying, this is not fair let these kids go home please.”

Also reacting to the development, popular Nigerian journalist, Adeola Fayehun expresses sadness over the arrest of over 20 kids for participating in hunger protest stressing that former Kogi governor Yahya Bello stole multibillions of naira and he is yet to be arrested by the Tinubu administration.

One of the highlight from the video shows the moment four of the over 20 kids that were arrested collapsed in court and they later fed by their lawyers who are fighting for them.

However, the justice of the Federal Republic of Nigeria said that those kids arrested are not children and further said that they have to pay N10M each to meet bail condition.

ajayijonas: A judge that understands parenting and how it feels to loose a child will dismiss the case immediately. In fact he will use cane and pursue them away from the court and tell them not to do that again. But this one…..I rest my case.

iamjust_mee: This is why I believe we should consider dividing the country, allowing each region to focus on its own development. As a proud Yoruba, I fully support Biafra, as it represents an opportunity for the next generation to experience something better and to avoid the hardships we’ve endured under a government plagued by corruption and injustice. It’s disheartening to see leadership that fails to prioritize the well-being of its people, and with the current administration, I fear we may face four difficult years ahead in hands of ÈMÍ LÓKÀŃ. Person wey suppose de hospice de high for free✌🏿.

bellz_ringit: To be honest, during election periods, these are the same individuals that the northerners use to vote, claiming to be 18 and older, and we have observed this without taking any action. Therefore, when this protest situation arose, we should not have reacted with excessive emotion or allowed ourselves to be blinded. The northerners represent a significant challenge; there has been no genuine progress in this country. The policies being implemented have impacted us so deeply that we are largely unaware of the extent of the damage caused. Ethnic divisions exacerbated by religion have severely affected us, and we cannot overcome these issues unless we consider disbanding the regions involved.

iam_kingdaniel24: Indeed we have Nigeria for the poor and Nigeria for the rich as Barr. Adeyanju has rightly said😢 Then some very ridiculous set of people will come on National Tv to say the govt of President Tinubu is working or could this be the work they are talking about🤔 My question again is are there no powerful people or right authorities that can stand to fight this injustice in Nigeria especially people like Mr Falana who claim to have been fighting a good fight in Africa😢 A big shoutout to @adeyanjudeji for constantly fighting for the rights of the poor people in Nigeria 💯❤️✌️.

officialtboss_: 😢😢😢💔💔💔😩.

fadachi_official_: You pardon Boko haram and recruit them into the army and arrest hungry kids, kids, kids, and arrest them with the bail option of 10 million.

victory599: Is this Prosecutor human or an an…l? Where are the Human Rights Organizations?
