A prominent aviation industry businessman has refuted widespread claims that Nigerian musicians own private jets.
This clarification came in response to a viral video from a fan of Grammy Award-winning artiste Burna Boy, which suggested that the musician owns a private jet.
The fan wrote; “Burna Boy getting off his private jet last night in Abuja. ✈️.”

The aviator identified as @LaceVine on X who co-founded a private jet charter company, quoted the post stating that no Nigerian music industry musicians actually own private jets. According to him, most artists typically utilize charter services for their air travel needs.
The business man who co-founded a private jet charter company wrote; “Nobody owns a jet in the Nigerian music industry. It’s all charter, apart from Davido who flies his Dad’s jet.”
He further clarified that his statement was not meant to undermine any artist but to provide accurate information on the subject.
“Please there’s no intent to shade anyone with this tweet. Also renting a Jet is not fake life. It’s not cheap,” he added.
