Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has shamelessly begged for money in a new video after music producer Don Jazzy donated a substantial amount to popular Nigerian activist Verydarkman (VDM).
Recall that Verydarkman recently opened a Non-governmental organizations (NGO) charity account in the course of helping people in need. The activist has gotten over N70 million in the account from rich and comfortable people.
However, in the early hours of today, Thursday, October 17th, when VDM revealed that he received a whooping N100 million from an anonymous person without getting an alert, expressing shock upon seeing the huge sum of money into his NGO accounts.
He later got a message from Don Jazzy saying he donated it because he believes in his cause and believes VDM will be transparent in disbursing the funds.
After the news of the donations went viral online, social media users and celebrities like Zlatan Ibile, Portable, Tiwa Savage and lots more flooded Don Jazzy’s page to beg for charity.
Thereafter, Portable, known for his outspoken personality, quickly took to his Instagram story as he asked the Mavin boss to also send him some money.
Throwing subtle shades at Verydarkman, the ‘Zazuu Nation’ boss stated that the critics only opened the NGO account to fight for himself and not Nigerians.
He revisited an interview where Don Jazzy revealed how he used Portable to inspire his signees, asking them to increase their online presence just like the singer.
According to him, Don Jazzy should bless him abundantly instead of just using him as a motivating tool.
“Person wey talk say Na Nigeria he dey fight for, he is fighting for himself. Don Jazzy, Don Jazzy, Don Jazzy, I call you three times, no dey use me motivate your signees, bless me, help me, give me money. I Dmed you on Instagram, you did not reply. Please don’t use me motivate only, help me.”
