After 19-year-old famous Nigerian TikToker peller refers to Runtown as an upcoming artiste, some blogs have started dishing out the songs of the singer who is clearly one of the Afrobeats’ greatest sound innovators.
Recall that it all started during a TikTok live session when Peller’s co-streamer suggested he feature Runtown, but he dismissed the idea, stating that he wanted a successful artist instead and not Runtown who is yet to blow in the Nigerian music space.
Peller speaks angrily; “Wetin be Runtown? That one never blow. We no know am. Give me another person. Who is that? Runtown? Don’t bring upcoming artists on my live video. Na artistes wey don blow well well I want.”
However, following the development, some blogs on Instagram believed that Peller and some Nigerians have quickly forgotten about the classics of Runtown and by extension they have started posting some of his songs.
Meanwhile, one of the most talked about song of Runtown was the one he featured superstar Afrobeats singer David Adeleke better known as Davido.
The title of the Runtown song was “Gallardo” and it was 11years ago when Peller who is presently 19-year-old was at the age of 8, showing that the TikToker was not in town when singer Runtown was actually running the town with his hit songs.
Blogger Tunde Ednut while sharing the Runtown song on his page wrote; “Remember this mega jam? HOW OLD WERE YOU 11 YEARS AGO?? Shoutout to Runtown on this one.”
