A woman who sells secondhand clothes, commonly known as thrift wear or okrika, shared an unexpected discovery in her merchandise.
While unpacking a bale of jeans, she came across something that brought her joy.
In a TikTok video by @sgthriftshop.ngg, she revealed the foreign currency hidden within the clothing bundle.
Okrika seller finds British currency in clothes bale
The thrift vendor proudly displayed the British currency note she discovered inside one of her bales.
She showed off the £5 note and asked netizens to help her convert its value to Nigerian naira.
In the video, she mentioned that despite years of opening bales of clothes, this was the first time she had found any significant money.
The excited woman admitted that she rarely searched through her jeans and usually sold them immediately after opening her bale.
She disclosed; “Years of opening bale I haven’t seen a meaningful money before. And to think i don’t search my wears ooh i just open and sell.”
