A UNIZIK student accused of slapping, biting, and tearing her lecturer’s clothes after he asked her to delete a video featuring him has shared her side of the story and pleaded for forgiveness.
The incident gained traction on X (formerly Twitter), where a post detailing the situation went viral.
The student detailed the incident, which happened earlier.
She explained that she was recording a video with her friend when she suddenly felt a push on her arm, followed by the words, “Excuse me.”
Unaware that he was a lecturer and feeling disrespected, she reacted based on her emotions.
Shortly after, someone grabbed her phone from behind, sparking a struggle. She later realized it was the same man, who held onto her phone until it fell and broke.
According to her, the lecturer then grabbed her chest area and refused to let go, which she found deeply disrespectful as a woman. While trying to break free, his clothes got torn in the process.

“MY OWN SIDE OF THE STORY”
“This morning, around 11 a.m., I was recording a quick video with a friend along my lecture room hallway when, out of nowhere, I felt a push from my left side, accompanied by a curt ‘excuse me.’ Initially, I thought it was a student, but when I turned around, I was shocked to see a man—a lecturer, unbeknownst to me. I felt helpless, faint, and utterly disrespected.”
“I whispered to my friend, ‘Omo, see how this lecturer pushed me,’ and my friend tried to reassure me.”
“Before I could even process what had just happened, someone tried to grab my phone from behind. I held on tight, exclaiming in shock, and turned around to see the same man who had pushed me earlier. Mind you, I didn’t even know he was a lecturer. I pleaded with him, ‘Sorry, sir, why are you dragging my phone?’ But he remained silent, tugging at my phone until it fell and broke.”
“I was devastated and still lamenting in pain as I picked up the pieces of my shattered phone. But the situation took a dark turn when the lecturer grasped my breast region, saying unspeakable things. I was left stunned, trying to comprehend the horror unfolding before me.”
“As I realized my cleavage was exposed, I begged him to let me go, but he ignored my pleas, holding me firmly. His nails and grip left visible prints and scratches on my chest.”
“I was mortified. I tried to cover myself, pulling my dress together, and exclaimed in desperation, ‘Sir, I’ll hold you ohh!’ I didn’t mean to threaten him; I just wanted him to release me. But he wouldn’t budge. In a split second, I bit his hand, hoping he’d let go. That was when I held his clothes and accidentally tore his shirt.”
“The situation escalated, with some students intervening. In no time, I saw Theatre Arts students (from his department) approaching me with weapons. I was terrified and hurt. Security personnel eventually arrived and took me away in their van.”
“I’m still shaken by the events that transpired. I never intended to disrespect a lecturer; I was acting under duress, protecting my dignity and interests as a woman. I’m deeply sorry for my reactions, and I hope that somehow, someway, this situation can be resolved peacefully.”
This comes shortly after videos of her assaulting the lecturer surfaced online, including footage capturing the initial encounter that escalated the situation.
As the clips spread across social media, many concerned individuals flooded the comment section to share their opinions.

surprisepackages.ng : Very mannerless behavior, but what do I even know? It’s pretty to act rude I guess🙄.
onyinyechi__favour: We saw videos so you can’t tell me otherwise.
bodayemo: I see what you did there girl👏. Well done! You want to play the sexual assault card. Just imagine there wasn’t any video recording, people will start calling an innocent man all kind of names. How many men have been put in difficult situations like this because there wasn’t any witness or recording. Don’t forget, In situations like this, it’s all about the woman but thank God say video dey.
