Ivy Ifeoma, wife of singer Paul Okoye, recently addressed social media comments about the color of her breast milk.
The discussion arose after she shared a video of her breast milk on Instagram, prompting a follower to suggest that it appeared diluted and claim that breast milk is usually yellowish in color.
Watch the video below;
“That thing you brought out is formula not breast milk. Breast milk is a bit yellowish”, the troll wrote.
In response, Ivy Ifeoma used her Instagram story to educate her audience, addressing the misconceptions about breast milk color.
She explained that breast milk’s color can vary, especially during the early stages when colostrum—a nutrient-rich, yellowish fluid—is produced.
Ivy further stressed the importance of avoiding assumptions or spreading misinformation, particularly regarding sensitive topics affecting new or expecting mothers.
She encouraged individuals to refrain from commenting on topics they are not familiar with.
In her words; “Some of you guys in the comments aren’t bright. When did all humans become the same? Do you know that the color changes over time? The ‘yellowish’ one is colostrum-infused.
“Don’t knock what you don’t know and don’t confuse new/expecting mums.”
