Nigerian singer and songwriter, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has donated the sum of N105 million to Christ Embassy, Edo State following his recently-concluded homecoming concert
The ‘Calm down’ singer made the donation during his Thanksgiving service which took place on Sunday at the church campground in Sapele Road, Edo state.
It can be recalled that Rema returned to its roots to celebrate his musical journey as he performed his hit songs, entertaining his audiences with his infectious energy.
Following the successful show, which took over the internet space, the 24-year-old musician was seen disclosing how the church came through for his family when his father died.
Rema revealed that the church opened a shop for his mother after his father’s demise when the family felt alone.
In his words, “The church embraced me, I pledge N40 million to the infrastructure of the church, N20 million to Rhapsodies of Realities, N25 million to teen church. When I lost my dad, we felt alone, the church opened a shop for my mum, if there is any widow, I am pledging N20 million”.
