Big Brother Naija former reality star Uriel Oputa has revealed how caring for her ailing mother taught her how to forgive.
In an Instagram story, she revealed that the last few days have been incredibly hard for her, as she had to feed her breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which meant she couldn’t go to anything else.
Uriel stated that she felt unproductive, but it reminded her of one of the biggest things she has learned to overcome, which is forgiveness.
The reality star disclosed that she had to forgive her mother for not taking her high blood pressure medication on time, which would have prevented her stroke and eventually, her vascular dementia.
She said she forgave her mother for likely not being there when she had children and for not being able to do her traditional rites when a woman gives birth. She added that she forgave herself for the way she acted at times, knowing she won’t be there.
Uriel added that over the years, she realized that she was carrying a lot of anger, and finally had to let it go. This experience is why she is so passionate about speaking on health and prevention, and she wants to make sure others don’t go through what she is going through because it is fucking hard.

I just want the old times”.
