Nollywood actor and movie producer Lateef Adedimeji is reflecting on the past as he celebrates his growth.
Taking to his Instagram page to share a throwback photo of himself, he stated that his journey over the years is the spirit of not giving up. Expressing gratitude to his Maker, he noted how his life is evidence of growth.
Lateef stated that if anyone had told him then that he would be what he is today, he would likely throw stones at them. He told his millions of fans that it is left to them to make sure their background doesn’t define their future, as they can’t afford to give up.
“I know you’re going to laugh, you’re allowed to, but shey, you can see the fine boy in the next slide, abi? You confirm abi you no confirm? That’s the spirit of not giving up.
Growth! Alhamdulilah. I’ve said a lot about my humble beginnings, peep the sac that served as a school bag that year; if anyone told me back then that I’d be what I am today, I’d most likely stone the person, but look at God.
See, na who give up fuck up o. Your background can be poor or challenging; however, it’s down to you to make sure your background doesn’t define your future; you can’t afford to give up.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, it’s Friday; what are your plans? As always, I’ll be spending the rest of the weekend with family, having fun as much as I can before we go again on Monday, what about you?”.
