A video making the rounds online has shown the lovely moment of Segun Olowookere, a viral man who was sentenced to death for stealing a fowl, and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
This video surfaced online after Segun Olowookere regained freedom from Kirikiri Correctional Centre through pardon by Governor Adeleke.
It will be recalled that Olowookere was sentenced to death by an Osun State High Court on December 17, 2014, for conspiracy to commit armed robbery, robbery, and stealing after being arrested and convicted in November 2010.
The issue gained widespread attention on social media after his mother made an emotional appeal to Nigerians, seeking their intervention in his case through actress Biola Bayo’s podcast.
However, actress Biola Bayo announced the release of Segun expressing her gratitude to Nigerians for their support, prayers, influence, and assistance to secure Segun’s release.
In recent development, Segun Olowookere was seen hanging out with Governor Ademola Adeleke at an event following his release.
