Martins Otse, widely recognized on social media as VeryDarkMan, has initiated a legal case against Alex Ikwechegh, a Federal House of Representatives member from Abia, after a shocking video went viral.
The footage shows Ikwechegh assaulting Bolt driver Stephen Abuwatseya, making threats and intimidating him.
In the video, the lawmaker slaps the driver, boasts about having the power to detain him in his generator house, and even implies he could make him “disappear.”
Ikwechegh asked in viral video;
“Do you who I am? So you think I will give you my money the way you have spoken to me?
“I did a drop for you and you have to pay, Sir”, the taxi driver replied.
Subsequent footage reveals the driver, now shirtless, alleging that Ikwechegh tore his clothes during the confrontation.
The driver reported that Ikwechegh summoned police officers who forcefully took him to their station. This incident has sparked widespread condemnation on social media, with many accusing the lawmaker of abusing his power and demanding justice.

This blatant display of power has fueled widespread calls for accountability, with VeryDarkMan at the forefront. Known for his bold pursuit of justice, he has reportedly filed a formal petition against Ikwechegh, intensifying focus on the gravity of these allegations.
The petition, signed by activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju, accuses the lawmaker of severe misconduct, including abuse of power, physical assault, attempted murder, and threats to life.
