Popular Nigerian broadcaster and social commentator, Oriyomi Hamzat, could not hold back his tears as he made his first public appearance following his release on bail.

The emotional moment occurred when he addressed a massive crowd that had gathered at his radio station, Agidigbo FM at Ojoo Expressway, Iworoad, Ibadan.

Oriyomi Hamzat was recently prosecuted together with Ooni’s ex Queen Naomi and principal Abdullahi Fasasi following their alleged involvement in the Ibadan stampede, which resulted in the deaths of 35 children.

On Monday, January 13, Oyo State High Court freed Oriyomi and the two other defendants on N10 million bail. This took over the social media users as fans and lovers rejoiced happily upon their release.
