Controversial Nigerian activist Martins Otse Vincent, popularly known as Verydarkman, has faced another lawsuit case with founder and head prophet of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry (CMDM) Pastor Jeremiah Fufeyin.
The drama all started when Verydarkman threatened to report the clergyman to the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Drugs (NAFDAC) office for selling miracle soap and water to his church members.
According to the 30-year-old critic, Pastor Jeremiah is wrong for selling the power he claims God gave to him for free.
This did not seem to sit well with the Delta state born prophet as he slammed him with the lawsuit of N1 billion and restraining order for calling him out for selling miracle soap and water.
The lawsuit charges was shared by Verydarkman himself via his Instagram page. He shared a video of himself addressing the cleric’s lawsuit.
Looking undisturbed with the case, he vowed to head to the court to challenge Pastor Fufeyin with 800 Deaf People, 700 Blind People, and 36 women who are looking for the fruit of the womb.
In his words, “I am coming to the Court with 800 Deaf People, 700 Blind People, and 36 women who are looking for the fruit of the womb, you must use your healing water and soap to heal all of them in front of the Judge.
It is worth noting that Verydarkman has been in and out of police custody over his controversial comments since he gained recognition on social media. In March 2024, VeryDarkMan was arrested on allegations of cyberbullying and cyberstalking, including false accusations against Nigerian actresses and officials. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded in police custody until his hearing on May 29, 2024. After two weeks in detention, he was released.
He was arrested again in June 2024 at his Abuja residence on defamation charges related to a social media exposé. VeryDarkMan was questioned by police on June 30, 2024, regarding defamation allegations and released shortly after. No arrest was made, contrary to initial reports.
Now, he is being slammed with N1 billion lawsuit over his comments on Pastor Jeremiah Fufeyin’s miracle soap and water.
