Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola better known as Portable has disclosed why he opened his official Instagram page with the name Elizabeth Joyce.
The “Zazoo Zeh” hitmaker made this known to all and sundry during an interview with popular content creator Egungun of Lagos born Kuye Adegoke.
Portable revealed that before rising to fame, he was involved in internet fraud, popularly known as “Yahoo.” He created his first Instagram account under the name “Elizabeth Joyce,” using a white woman’s photo as his display picture to deceive unsuspecting victims.
After gaining stardom, he removed the profile image but decided to keep the name, which has since become part of his online identity.
In his words; “I opened my Instagram account with the name Elizabeth Joyce when I wanted to start yahoo. After all the hard work, I didn’t cashout from it so I decided to use the same account when someone told me they’re looking for me on Instagram, that was after I blew up so I decided to leave the name.”
