Renowned Nigerian Afrobeats star Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has continued to make headlines online following his viral tweets in his X handle.
Recently, Wizkid took to his timeline to react to viral video of his father Alhaji Muniru Balogun trekking under the rain in the street of Lagos state.
In the clip that circulated online, Wizkid’s dad sported a white native attire accompanied by a red cap as he treks with his walking stick while heading to his destination.
The video took over social media space as internet users began to compare the singer’s father with his rival Davido’s billionaire dad Adedeji Adeleke.
Today, October 2, an X user shared the video again in mockery of Wizkid’s family financial status.

In no time, Wizkid replied the user, clarifying that his father was walking towards his Toyota SUV jeep and he was coming from their old hood.
He wrote, “U see his SUV in front right?!! he actually likes going back to our old hood to take walks ! see the old people and bless them with something small. That’s the kind of man that raised me!”
