The late Nigerian musician Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, has expressed the doubts once more regarding the paternity of Liam, his late son’s child with Omowunmi.

In a recent Silverbird Television interview, Aloba emphasized that a DNA test is required to determine whether Liam is, in fact, his grandchild.

Mohbad, whose sudden death on September 12, 2023, caused nationwide shock and speculation, left behind his wife, Omowunmi, and their son, Liam.

Amid the ongoing investigations surrounding the singer’s death, Aloba has expressed concerns regarding Liam’s resemblance to his late son.

When asked during the interview if Liam bore any likeness to Mohbad, Mohbad’s father responded:

“No, with what I am seeing, he’s not my grandson. As a father, they are supposed to bring the child to me. When I demand DNA, they were supposed to say ‘Daddy go and do it at your convenient time.’ It has become public now. Let the court speak to that.”

Aloba emphasized that he would only accept Liam as his grandson if the DNA test confirmed the biological connection.

Mohbad’s death remains a highly sensitive issue, with ongoing investigations and autopsy reports yet to bring closure to the case. Many social media users have since been enraged with Wunmi’s alleged delay to get the DNA test done.
