The award-winning actress recently appeared on a popular YouTube game show, ‘Masoyinbo’ where she answered questions fluently in Yoruba, leaving viewers highly impressed.
The Masoyinbo game show is a popular Yoruba-language program hosted by Yoruba etymologist Ojalekan Fabilola. The show is designed to promote Yoruba culture, with the host asking various questions that guests must answer correctly using only the Yoruba language, without mixing in any other language. The winner of the show goes home with N1 million cash prize.
Known for her iconic roles in movies like Jenifa and A Tribe Called Judah, Funke Akindele is no stranger to entertaining audiences with her wit and humor. During the Yoruba game show, Funke Akindele took over the show as she communicated with Yoruba Language.
Although she could not answer many questions, social media users gushed over her ability to blend smoothly with Yoruba despite being a Nollywood actress. At the end of the video, the actress went home with N25k.
