A Nigerian man based in Port Harcourt has caused a stir online as he pronounced himself as the cousin of Grammy award-winning singer Damini Ogulu Ebunoluwa, popularly known as Burna Boy.
This follows Burna Boy, who is currently in a heated feud with socialite Cubana Chief Priest, sharing a video of a man named Bethel Okechukwu. In the video, Bethel, allegedly Cubana Chief Priest’s sibling, talks about his financial struggles despite having a wealthy relative.
The ‘City Boy’ crooner, however, fulfilled his promises by gifting Bethel a whopping sum of N46 million ($30k), sparking outrages online.
In a recent development, the unidentified man featured in a viral video where he blasted Burna Boy for handing over such an amount of money because of clout while his family members are suffering.
According to him, he and Burna Boy grew up together in Port Harcourt and the singer had never given his family $1 not to talk of $30k, which was given to Cubana Chief Priest’s alleged brother.
In his words, “Burna Boy, me and you where we come from in Port Harcourt, we’re suffering. You have never given anybody from our family $1. it’s only your mom that comes around and share some money for my mother and some family members sometimes. Look at, you invited a stranger last night because of ordinary beef, you gave him $30k.
“Last year, I asked you for money to do business, but you told me to hustle because I’m a man. Why can’t you tell him too to hustle but you took him out last night while we your family members are suffering.”
