Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has taken to social media to blast the viral woman who carried an empty pot to the #EndBadGovernance Protest in Lagos, Nigeria.
The #EndBadGovernance protest by Nigerians kickstarted yesterday, August 1st, 2024, and protesters were seen across various states voicing their dissatisfaction with government policies and economic conditions.
However, the woman’s empty pot serves as a symbol of hunger and hardship and it resonated with many protesters who are struggling with high inflation, unemployment, and economic instability.
However, the woman’s message was regarded as silent and a powerful one which amplified the voices of those struggling to make ends meet.
Reacting to the photo of the woman carrying empty pot at the protest, Reno Omokri via his Instagram page today shared photo of the same woman where alcoholic bitter was seen in her hand.
Throwing shade at the woman, Reno wrote; “How can this woman claim to be hungry, yet if you look at her hands, she is holding a sachet of alcohol? She has no money to buy food but has funds to purchase alcoholic beverages. Strange!”
