Nollywood Actress Mercy Aigbe, a Nollywood actress, and a few of her peers have faced criticism for openly lamenting the passing of well-known TV host, actress, singer, and fashion designer Lara Odubo.
According to Hitgist, the multitasker passed away on July 28, 2024, a Saturday. Blogger Temilola Sobola revealed the tragic news. The performer reportedly had health issues for a few days before to her death, albeit the exact cause of death remains unknown.
Taking to her Instagram page to mourn her, Mercy Aigbe, who seemed to have been close to her, expressed sadness over her death as she stated that she was still in denial over the news. Bading her farewell, she wrote,
Taking to her comment, the likes of her husband Kazim Adeoti, Bimpe Akintunde, Toyin Adewale and Fausat Balogun joined her in mourning the dead.
This didn’t sit well with some online users who noted how the actress and her colleagues never posted or showed support for the singer when she was alive.
